I use this as a measuring background when photographing small works, esp. ones with an irregular shape. I place the item on the grid, Snap a shot with my iPhone and I now have a measured record of product dimensions.

It’s a great mat. My one issue is that the thumbnail shows radial grid lines overlaying the square grid for the green mat. But when I received it, it only had a square grid. Thumbnails should match the actual product.
