This knife is best utilized for the following: Precision cutting, trimming, and stripping of paper, Foamcore plastic, Wood, Cloth, Film, Model making, Clay carving, and Pumpkin carving.
First of all, I'm very happy that Excel offers a U.S.A. made option for hobby knives and blades. I try to buy U.S.A. made whenever I can. The blade handles have sufficient heft but are not too heavy for fine, detail work. The feel and the aesthetics of the handles are top notch. The blade profile ares crisp and clean. The cutting edges are extremely sharp and made quick, precise work of cutting poster board and foam. The extra blades can be safely stored in the small, plastic cylindrical container that is shipped along with them. Speaking of shipping, the handle and blades were shipped very quickly.
Overall, these are quality products that have served me quite well. I will not hesitate to purchase more of these from Excel in the future. I can't see how knives and blades from "the other company" could be any better. Great job Excel on a quality, U.S.A made product. Keep up the good work.
